I don’t know if I have any memories of my grandma that didn’t include her tending to one of her many, many, many animals. She had horses, ferrets, cats, dogs, birds, pigs… you name it! She has passed away now, but I like to think that she is still with me whenever I tend to my animals, or whenver I sing along to Tony Bennet while cooking in the kitchen. I truly believe that if we all loved our pets like she loved hers, the shelters would be empty and all fur babies would live happily ever after. Love you Mamaw. I hope I am making you proud!
